Time and again...

June 9, 2008 / by cantonmiller4

Time and again we see people who have been victims of violent crimes and suffered the loss of a friend or family member. Time and again we see these same people refusing to let go of their grief, choosing instead to re-live the tragedy over and over. Time and again we see parents lose children to chemicals and alcohol, never understanding why God would do something like that to them. And time and time again we see war, famine, disaster and don't understand why.

We have completely forgotten about Lucifer/Satan or whomever he calls himself today.

Such lack of understanding is with us today because too many of us are listening to the words of men and not to the word of Jesus Christ. We're letting far too many people interpret scripture for us because we're too lazy to go to the source and find the truth ourselves. We're letting this happen because we like what we're hearing; our pastors, ministers and church leaders are baptising, marrying and burying us, all the while in-between assuring us of Heaven as we drop a couple of dollars in to the collection plate every couple of weeks or so. Why should we take the time to read scripture when we have people to do that for us? Good stuff. Nice stuff. Easy stuff. Why should we?

I'll tell you why. Satan is working a grand deception and we're falling for it like a line of dominoes. If we were the Christians we profess to be we would open our hearts to God and pray for wisdom and understanding in reading His word. We would understand this world and we would not have to worry about being deceived by men who are being deceived themselves. In fact, we wouldn't have to worry period. We could look out the window and crank up the television news, see what's going on in the world and know in out hearts that all was going just as planned. The grief, the suffering, the crime, the corruption: all as it should be.

End of Part 1
