There was an event which purplexes me to no end. Shortly after God had given Noan personal instruction for the construction of an Arc, and flooded the earth to kill every man, woman and child (save Noah and his family), the earth immediately began re-fulfilling itself.
We all are, in effect, the distant relative of Adam and Eve, and in the shorter time frame, the relatives of Noah. The blood of Adam and Noah ticks away silently in each one of us.
Genesis 10: 32 "These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations: and by these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood." The first families are listed in Genesis 10.
Then, as we got more and more populous and busy, we began to make a tower "whose top may reach into heaven". This immediately got God's attention.
Genesis 11: 5-8 "And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.
And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.
Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.
So the Lord scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city."
