Jeremiah was one of the Lord's most faithful prophets. He had quite a temper. We are told many, many times that we should not believe the ramblings of man...but, instead, trust in the Lord. The way of man is an easy one. The way of God is not. So most men follow men to their own destruction. It is sad.
Jeremiah spoke a great deal about this matter. In Chapter 17 he writes, once again, about the Number One problem of men of all nationalities: men follow men. They do not follow God except when it is advantageous to do so. So it is with the world and so it will continue until...?
In Jeremiah 17: 5, Jeremiah again says, "Thus saith the Lord, cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord."
Then he goes on to tell what man will be like if he doesn't trust or believe in the Lord. Read it.
