Get Wisdom

It's spring again and the temperatures are in the 50's at night. It's time for me to go outside at 5:30am and sit in my back yard watching the moon until the sun comes up.

It's also a time to think without any interruption. Only the birds and creepy crawly things are there with me. It's very peaceful and it would take an army of men to get me to give it up. It's my place.

Yesterday morning I was thinking about life on earth. Specifically, wildlife and all the animals of the sea and all the small things of earth. Everything living except man and, perhaps, plants.

I was thinking that they never, ever consider anything useful unless it feeds them, gets them to grow and prepares them for pregnancy and birth. They never fear death. It's an unknown to them. They're here today and gone tomorrow. They are responsible for maintaining a balance of life all over the world. For millions of years it has worked like perfection.

Enter man. A very unusual creature. DNA has proven that all men and women come from a common ancester in Africa. That's a fact non-existant until the 21st century.

Man is completely different from animals. He makes war against his brothers. He tries to accumulate wealth through anything he can. He will kill for the stupidest reason. He will do almost anything for his family and heirs. To hell with anybody else. He even manufactured money to make trade easier.

Animals never used money. They never even thought of it.

Today he is ripping up the Amazon will perilous abandon. He is burning fuels so full of CO2 that the icecaps are melting. And a few men are accumulating tremendous wealth that controls the entire world.

The prices of food and many other items used by people like us are skyrocketing. Banks are closing. Gasoline prices are going up like a rocket. And on, and on, and on.

The animal world is just trying to survive, living the way they always have. We are trying to self-destruct and are on the way to that eventuality.

The human, though, has a book that they should read. It's called The Holy Bible. It has all you need to know about what's happening today. The leading characters in it are God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit along with a host of prophets.

The humans with the most to lose and the wealthiest of the lot will not read it. It is understandable. They will do most anything to see that the contents are fiction. They will try to destroy God. Money will prevail.

The whole of mankind will be lost in a terrible but inevitable end.

Proverbs 4: 7 reads, "Wisdom is the principle thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding."

Pick up that earthworm you see on the sidewalk after a shower. Put him back on the grass. He'll immediately start a new hole and slowly disappear. 

Then you've really done something.
