I haven't written lately because I am standing in awe of what's been happening all over the world. It's incredible. It seems the second hand on the clock on my living room wall now sweeps 40-seconds to make a minute. It doesn't take 60-seconds any longer.
The news on television is breathtaking. I can't remember a time when there was so much calamity in the world. Earthquakes, fires, floods...you name it and it's happening. It seems to be getting worse and worse. War, as bad as it is, has taken a distant second place to the natural oblivion that is affecting many people the world over.
Jesus Christ in his sermon in Matthew had much to say on the matters facing us all. In Matthew, Chapter 24, Verses 8-14, He says, "All these are the beginning of sorrows.
Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
And many false prophets shall arise, and shall deceive many.
And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold..
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come."
My friends, you as Christians have an obligation to Jesus Christ. There may not be much you can do against the written word, it's carved in stone, even though it is the written word. But you can go out to your friends, neighbors and relatives, and talk to them about Jesus Christ. Make sure they are baptised. Make sure they know the 10 Commandmants. Then they will be set for anything that comes along.
It isn't going to be easy. It won't be easy at all.
But you are doing it for Jesus Christ...and them.
