Chapter 9 in Luke has yet another cloud story. In verse 34 it reads, "While he (Peter) thus spake, there came a cloud, and overshadowed them: and they feared as they entered the cloud (Peter, John and James)."
Why would they feel fear? They were with Jesus Christ. They heard God say, "This is my beloved Son: here him." I guess, on second thought, I would have been scared too. Especially after the transformation Jesus went through. Read the entire chapter. Slowly.
Then, in verse 36, we have, "And they kept it close, and told no man in those days any of the things which they had seen."
In verse 37 we have, "...that on the next day, when they were come down from the hill..." On the next day? They were in that cloud for a whole day. What about eating? What about going to the bathroom? What about sleeping? We are not told a thing.
And this is just one mystery of clouds. But it is not a mystery to me.
