In The Book of the Prophet Jeremiah, it is written in 1:5, "Before I formed thee in thy belly, I knew thee; and before thou camest out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations."
God is saying that. There is more. You should read the first chapter of Jeremiah.
What is done here is intriguing. It is God telling Jeremaih when he is so young that he cannot talk that he will be a prophet unto all nations. A kind of commission. Jeremiah will be a very special person.
I don't know if He did this to every prophet. What is intriguing is the very personal way in which He handled it. It couldn't be any more personal. Jeremiah was special.
Did God do this again? Well, yes He did. We are told of it in the New Testament. It happened to a boy that was to be named Jesus. This time it was the Son of God and He came complete with His own angels. It would be a birth that would change the whole world.
If God could do that in the past, what about now? Could there be prophets like Jeremiah travelling the earth. The odds say yes. Figuring them out is a bit more difficult.
Could Satan/Lucifer do what God did? That's a tough question. We know that Satan was one of God's favorites. We learn that from Job. We also know that he traveled the earth from time to time.
There might be a lot of very, very evil men walking the earth right now taking their cues from Satan. Who would know? We also know the God was not alone when He created Adam. Could Satan have been there?
These are all intriguing question without answers.
They are worth thinking about from time to time. They shouldn't be an obsession though. There's nothing we can do about it. We just continue living our lives as ordinary men raising our families.
We should be prepared. Get baptised. Follow the Ten Commandments as well as you can. Believe firmly in God, Jesus Christ and The Holy Ghost. Pray.
We don't have to worry about a thing. We can watch it go by until the end of the earth. Satan can go to, well, he can go to Hell.
